Dave, Susan and M.J. Leave for Woods on DHDesperate Housewives, Everybody Says Don’t
The police learn Dave was in the storage room at the club; Tom decides to learn Chinese; Orson threatens to send Bree to jail
The May 17, 2009 episode of Desperate Housewives, Everybody Says Don’t, was the first part of the season’s two-part finale. Dave’s Plan Hits Bumps, Keeps GoingDave made a video tape explaining why he had to kill M.J. He said he didn’t just kill Susan because then she wouldn’t have to feel the pain he feels. The police learned from Dr. Heller’s receptionist that he couldn’t have died in the fire because he has been sending her text messages. Susan told Dave she didn’t want to go on the trip anymore because she hadn’t heard from Jackson. He tried to convince her it would be good for her, but she refused. Dave pushed and tried to use M.J., but he finally said OK. Jackson finally called and said he thought Mike gave the tip. Later, Susan went to confront Mike. Katherine broke down and told her Mike couldn’t have turned him in because he didn’t know about the green card. She also told him she is worried Mike won’t marry her if Susan doesn’t marry Jackson, and she said she sent the alimony text message. The police decided to send a message back, and when Dave saw it he also saw Dr. Heller. Then he saw his wife, daughter and Edie, who all told him to go kill M.J. now. Susan wondered about Mike’s proposal, and she asked him if he loved her. He said yes, and Susan was shocked to learn they were going to elope in Vegas that weekend. The police spoke to Jackson. He didn’t believe Dave did it, but he told them Dave was in the storage room at the club. Just before leaving for the trip, Dave gave Mike a tape. He said it was band stuff but told him not to watch it until after his honeymoon. Tom’s New PlanTom took Preston on a campus tour, but Preston wasn’t very impressed. Tom, however, decided he wanted to go back to college to major in Chinese. The girls told Lynette she needed to fight, and Bree taught her how to do it without nagging him. Lynette found the message that Tom’s admissions test was the next morning. Tom thought it was another day, so she convinced him to go out and celebrate. Tom came home drunk, and he panicked when Lynette played the message. Tom’s test went awful, and Lynette felt horrible for tricking him when she learned Tom wanted to learn Chinese so he could boost his marketing resume. Gaby’s HouseguestGaby taught Juanita that grownups fight by shoving their good fortune in others’ faces. The family was going to visit Carlos’ aunt, who Gaby hates. She told Juanita Carlos’ family was trash, and she uses her jewelry to make it known she is better. At the reunion Carlos’ aunt told the family she needed someone to take care of her granddaughter because of her bad heart. Gaby tried to stop Carlos from taking her, but Carlos felt it was the right thing to do. Orson Fights BackBree arrived home one night and all of her “stolen” items had been returned. Orson asked her why she did it, and she told him she wants a divorce. He said he didn’t want a divorce, but she said it didn’t matter. Orson decided he wasn’t leaving. He told Bree he was going to stay so they could work it out. He told her he filed the insurance claim, and, as long as she is still his wife, he won’t send her to jail for insurance fraud.
