The Sons of Anarchy Dysfunctional Family
At its heart, Sons of Anarchy is a unique show about a family. Gemma Teller is the widow of the club's founder John Teller. Gemma married Clay Morrow, the current president of Sons of Anarchy. Jax Teller, the vice-president of the club, is the son of Gemma Morrow and John Teller. Jax and his stepfather have a tense, hostile relationship.
Season Two Gemma Keeps a Secret
The season opened with a extremely disturbing episode about the rape of Gemma Morrow (Katey Sagal), who kept it secret from her husband Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) and her son Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam). The secret takes its toll on Gemma, but she fears the consequences if her men were to find out and avenge her.
Whlle Gemma works through her emotions and refuses help, Clay Morrow and Jax Teller are more antagonistic toward each other than ever, dividing the motorcycle club.
Gemma and Jax's girlfriend, Dr. Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff) have grown closer this season. Tara is one of the few people who knows about Gemma's rape. Gemma and Tara have bonded as they worry about the violent lifestyle of their men and the infighting between Clay and Jax. Gemma has mentored Tara in the rough ways of the club, teaching her to shoot a gun and giving her advice on holding onto Jax Teller.
Major threats to SAMCRO this season come from the White Supremacist group headed by Zobelle (Adam Arkin) and his right hand man A.J. Westin (Henry Rollins). Zobelle and Rollins were behind Gemma's rape and were disappointed when Gemma did not tell Jax and Clay about their violation of the matriarch of the motorcycle club. They were hoping to draw the Sons of Anarchy into vengeful actions.
Sons of Anarchy includes violent scenes, including beatings, bombings and murder. The series is for mature audiences.
