This is a summary of tonight's episode, the third of the season. So far we've witnessed five deaths, a decapitated Bambi and several Agatha Christie plot ripoffs.
Hunter Goes Too Far In His Errand For RichardThe episode started with Abby sunbathing in a bikini in the poll before everybody jumps in. Henry and Richard talked about how to deal with Thomas Wellington. Here's a hint: big money erases a lot of willingness to strangle the pater familas. Someone named Ruth slipped Henry a warning that Hunter is on the island ready to take Trish back. Hunter showed up while Trish tried on lingerie. His soap-opera shtick was interrupted by a clerk. After Henry thanked Ruth he spies on Hunter through his hotel room window. Hunter, defeated but not out, told Thomas he wants fifty large to leave the island or he can tell Trish that Daddy wants Henry out of the picture. Then he left Trish a note to meet him at his room. She went but changed her mind. Hunter showed up at dinner to get paid one way or another. Richard gave him the money with a warning to stay away from Trish for good.. Hunter took the envelope and got on a boat headed off the island. While on the water he spotted a bag which was full of cash and a gun but there was no fuel station, which was too bad because he got smoked by a rifle that was rigged up to fire when he went to check on the problem. Kelly Couldn't Hang...Well, Maybe She Could. J.D. and Shane Continue to Play NiceKelly's death was thought to be a suicide on account of her hanging from the ceiling. But wait! Did her kinky games with J.D. change things? OK, it wasn't that but someone decided to draw red ink in Kelly's eyes, so murder is the cause of death. J.D. didn't seem particularly perturbed by it but Shane actually seemed a bit broken up over it. J.D. went for a walk, presumably to mourn his last hook-up, when he got hit by Shane who bound, gagged and let him know Sheriff Mills thought him to be responsible for Kelly's death. Shane's easily the peach of the cast of the characters. Nikki told Abby that Shane used to beat Kelly. Big shocker. Abby found J.D. trussed up as Shane snuck up behind her. Shane waved a knife at J.D. while offering a psychoanalysis of Kelly. Abby told Shane that John Wakefield killed Kelly to distract him. Sheriff Mills saved the day and Abby cut J.D. loose. Odds and Ends with Sully, Cal, Chloe and Dead LucyMeanwhile, Richard tried to put spice back into his life by playing the whipped husband who is mad as hell and can't take it anymore but hooked up with his mother-in-law. Kinky... Sully tried to hit on Chloe AGAIN. So she advised him to get a honey treatment at the spa. Cal doused him with goose feathers for leaving him hanging in the scavenger hunt. Nice. Henry called his father-in-law a bully and called him out for inviting Hunter. At the toast Henry thanked the guy for fathering his bride-to-be. That's class. Nobody asked what happened to Lucy. She must have given the bride and groom a lousy gift like matching potholders. This is a hard series to get into. However, it was a top 20 show in the ratings for the first two weeks so it should survive the season.
