Susan Plans to Marry on Desperate Housewives

On the May 3, 2009 episode of Desperate Housewives, Bargaining, everyone on Wisteria Lane set out to make deals that would make their lives easier. Katherine used MJ to learn Mike’s intentions, Carl used Bree for a sleepover and Gaby made a deal with her daughter to not wear makeup.
Marriage and Divorce
MJ asked Mike if he was going to marry Katherine. Mike said he didn’t know. When he asked if Mike wants to marry her, he just said he loved her. Mike left the room, and MJ asked Katherine how he did. Later that night Katherine and Mike discussed what happened, and Mike told her he doesn’t want to get married again.
Bree met with a divorce lawyer. Her main priority in the divorce was to not split her company, but Walter told her that would be impossible. Later, Bree heard about a sleezy divorce lawyer and decided to check him out. The lawyer happened to be Carl.
Packs All Around
Lynette and Tom made a pact to have sex every night for a month. The girls were horrified when she stayed out of few hands in poker that night just to squeeze it in. The next day Lynette told Tom she wouldn’t be able to do anything that night because of work. He showed up at her work to make up for things, and Carlos called in the middle of things.
Gaby was called to pick up Juanita from school early because she was covered in makeup. Juanita told Gaby someone said she wasn’t pretty enough to be her daughter, so she was just trying to look like her mother. Gaby and Carlos sat down with Juanita to explain why she doesn’t need makeup, and the conversation ended with neither Gaby nor Juanita being allowed to wear makeup to Carlos’ award ceremony, a decision Gaby despised.
MJ had a sleepover, which Carl’s son wasn’t invited to. Carl begged Mike to let him in, but Mike refused.
Bree and Carl met, and Carl told Bree he would only help her if she could get his son in to MJ’s sleepover. It took macaroons and desperate pleading, but MJ did agree.
Jackson and Susan had dinner, and he asked her to marry him. She panicked and locked herself in the bathroom. She was crying, saying she couldn’t handle things, but she still loved him. Jackson then finished his sentence, which was he wants her to marry him so he doesn’t get deported.
New Plans
The police discovered who the man that burned in the fire was and confronted Dave about it. He said he didn’t know the man, but the police looked suspicious.
The morning after their incident Jackson went to Susan to apologize. She was embarrassed, but she eventually let him in and agreed to marry him.
At Carlos’ ceremony Gabby huffed and puffed the whole night, and she kept telling people she wasn’t ill, just not wearing makeup. Half way through she stole another woman’s makeup for the photo. Juanita was disappointed and sad when she saw her mother’s face. Later, Gaby told her daughter she wants her to be more than just pretty.
Lynette fell asleep during sex. The next morning Tom was furious about it. To make it up to him Lynette drank three espressos to stay awake. Tom was still upset, but he explained it was because he has lost his passion for everything but her.
Dave and Susan had planned to go fishing with MJ, but Susan told Dave she couldn’t because she is getting married.
