The Cleaner on A&E broadcast their season two finale on September 15, 2009, in a episode that brought back story lines from throughout the season. The Cleaner stars Benjamin Bratt as extreme interventionist William Banks, based upon the stories of real life interventionist Warren Boyd. The series, which explores the complicated consequence of alcohol and drug addiction co-stars Estaban Powell, Grace Park and Annabelle Gurwitch) Guest stars in the season finale, Trick Candles, include Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Lewis, Gary Cole, Janina Gavankar, Steve Landesberg, Paul Schulze, Jeanette Brox, Micheal Beach,Annabelle Gurwitch, Dionysio Basco and Joy Bisco. Trick Candles Season Two Finale of The Cleaner Trick Candles beganvwith the news that it was an important occasion for William Banks (Benjamin Bratt); the ten year anniversary of his sobriety. PK (Whoopi Goldberg), Arnie Swenton (Estaban Powell) and Akani Cuestra (Grace Park) organized a surprise party for Banks ten year anniversary of sobriety, or birthday. His friends and clients gathered to commemorate the occasion with a reluctant Banks. Clients share with Banks how intervention changed their lives. Trick Candles is not all about celebration, because not all of the clients seen throughout the season have made it. Gary Cole' character returned to drinking after his wife died. Akani Cuestra (Grace Park) was heartbroken to learn that one of her clients died of an overdose. As an honest portrayal of the devastation of addiction, the show reveals the heartbreaking consequences of addiction to drugs and alcohol. Richard Lewis portrayed a heroin addict who had been through recovery five times and had fallen into addiction again. This time his wife (Annabelle Gurwitch) decided that she had enough and called Banks asking him to handle her husband and to serve divorce papers. William Banks Reconciles with WifeWilliam Banks and his wife Melissa (Amy Price-Francis) separated at the end of season one, and Banks was living in the shop. In the season finale Banks told Melissa that he had never asked how his addiction made her feel, because he was afraid to see himself through her eyes. Melissa told him that she needed him to make her feel safe and allowed him to move back into the house. It was not a fairytale ending though, because Banks got a call from Lewis needing help and Melissa told him to leave to help his friend.
